HID Lighting upgrade?

HID Lighting upgrade?
I have not seen threads lately regarding the HID upgrades available from a supporting vendor. Are these kits still reliable and considered a good upgrade. I have got to do something about these lights (or lack there of). Thanks

I think everyone that has had an interest in the HID conversion bulb kits has been 
with all the opinions and controversy.
I like mine; wouldn't trade it for anything; and don't give a H@@T what anyone else says or thinks of them. Best buck I've spent on lighting upgrade, hands down.

It seems you have three choices with HIDs
Simple bulb and ballast swap: runs $75-$300 depending on the vendor
DIY project building projector assemblies into your OEM headlight capsules: runs $200 and up for parts and a lot of time and patience
ACA HID low beam projectors in custom housings for the C5: runs $699 -$1,000
