Default 390 rear

Does anyone have a 390 rear in thier vett? How is it on gas. I want to be able to drive the car on long distance trips, what do you think.

Well after I did the head swap on my car with the cam I could get 31-32 on interstate cruising. After the 3.90 rear I would get 28-29 so expect a few mpgs to drop.

I have a 4:10 gear and am getting 26 on the road and around 15 in town.

That's about what Iam getting with my 410's. I little less mpg but a lot more fun.

Mine fell to 24-25....town is about 8 (I drive like crap). Pit

i can get about that,or a little better.it depends on how i drive.i have 4.10s

With h/c and 3.90 I get 28mpg highway.

Once you install the 3.90s and feel how much it wakes up the SOP feel you will be in the throttle a lot more at first. So initially you will realize a big drop in gas milage.

If you drive the same you will lose about 2-3 MPG highway and 1-2 in the City.

Another nice thing with my 410's, is you do not have to start in 1st. You can from a stop, start in 2nd then 4th than 6th.
