Just wondering how many of you have driven a modded C5Z and a stock of slightly modded C6Z. How do they compare in terms of overall ride (Assume stock C5Z suspension and stock C6Z suspension). I have a 475 RWHP / 432 RW Torque at 13:1 AFR C5Z that only has 6,000 miles on it. Love the car and my H/C conversion was done by Lou G at LG Motorsports. Love the car. A slightly modded C6Z with Headers, Intake and tune would be maybe 500 RWHP so not that big of a difference. Torque would be more thought given the 427 engine.
I have been considering getting a C6Z and wanted to know what people thought. I am considering keeping both, as I believe that the prices of the C6Z will keep falling fast, as they have been for much of this year.
If I sell my C5Z, will I be disappointed in the C6Z? My feeling is to keep my C5Z and just add to the stable. The C6Z would be my last Corvette and the styling has grown on me. Still a big fan of the C5Z styling though as well.
If you keep both how could you be dissappointed? After a good comparison sell the one that you like the least if that's what you want. Car feel and driving experience is so personal and subjective that you'll have to make that decision.
My C5Z makes 436 rwhp w/ bolt-ons and a G5-X2 cam, my buddy Rich (DoingOK on here) has an '06 C6Z w/ a K&N intake, American Racing long tubes, and a tune. He put down 493 rwhp!
I walks me by 3 or 4 cars before we let out on the highway at the top of 4th for me which is 145ish.
The LS7 has a huge torque curve and the longer gearin shines.
