DHL loss shipment
Had a shipment of Ti exhaust system from Reno,NV taped together and completely bubble wrapped/taped again, and accepted by DHL in Reno, shipment made it to Baton Rouge, LA (within 100 miles of my house) and somehow the complete system got loss. I've sent other things with them, with no problem, but losing a complete system, come on. Just wanted to give you guys a heads-up on shipping with DHL.

I will never use DHL again. they have lost 2 shipments on me. 2 of a set of 4 tires which killed my deal altogether, and a watch i purchased never made it to my house. UPS is the way to go. Never had a problem with them.

Thanks guys , like I said, just a heads-up for anyone shipping DHL. I've already got my eye on another set, I'm motivated to put Ti's on my ride, already have the cats and x-pipe, so it's just a small set-back.
If they find them, I'll post them for sale, but for sure, the next set won't be shipped DHL.
Very good thread brother...I had better luck shipping a set of long tube headers, cats and "X" pipe by Greyhound shipping. They got there in ONE piece ahead of time..this is ground travel by a Greyhound bus from CA to AL.
Had good shipment by UPS and FedEx...
Sleeper
While DHL might not be best shipper - they don't dick around when it comes to paying out insurance claims. I've shipped with them in the past, and had things lost, and in no time I received a check for the lost shipment. I can't say the same for UPS and FexEx.
It'll be found sitting on a dock, or it got loaded onto the wrong truck. It's not uncommon for a shipment to be loaded/unloaded several times in transit. Don't worry too much yet, it's merely been misplaced.
I have been debating about putting a "rant" thread about this issue here on the forum for some time.
NONE OF THEM ARE ANY DA>> GOOD.
Been a UPS shipper for 20+ years and have more stories than time to tell.
DHL has screwed up almost every package I have given them, absolutely wont deal with them anymore.
FedX has way too many services - Overnite, ground, home to name a few. And I love where the Fedx Home charges an extra amount to the price for delivering to RESIDENTIAL. What the HE>> is HOME DELIVERY???
USPS has been the most consistent in offering better delivery when using Priority but that tracking system is awful. Once it leaves your hands with a delivery confirmation NOBODY knows where your package is until it is delivered.
Wow - Sorry I just couldn't hold it back any longer
