I need some ideas for mounting my new iPod, I've done some searching but nothing has really impressed me yet. So if you have some iPod mounting pics, lets see em!!!
How do you control that from the Passenger side?? Unless I am looking at that wrong??
I don't... I don't want to be distracted while I'm driving anyway, so when I hook up the ipod, I set it on my playlist, set it on it's holder and go. don't need to worry about it. If the passenger is in the car, they can be the dj, as they would be anyway.

Here are some pics of my setup. To give credit, I got this idea from another forum member who had pictures on the forum.
This picture shows the display screen that is installed in the ashtray compartment. The controller **** is installed in the (useless) cup holder. The wires run underneath the console bezel.
This picture shows the iPod Nano in the center armrest console. This is hidden from view and controlled by the Drive+Play unit.
This picture shows the ashtray and cup holder covers closed so that the unit is hidden from view.
Hey Slayer-
I did something similar to what yellow c5 did. I ran the wire under the center console and drilled a hole on the inside of the storage bin under the arm rest. It makes it real easy to use as well as hide by leaving it in there. The interface I used is by Peripheral and works great. As far as changing my music selection, I either create a playlist or wait until I get to the next stop light and keep the iPod in the center console or on the passenger seat. One other mod I did was put an XM head unit in place of the ashtray under the lid. When it comes to modding my interior, I try to keep it simple and it also makes it less attractive to theives. I don't have any pictures with me as the car is in the garage at home. If you would like, I can email them to you later today or tomorrow.
I got the Belkin Tunedok about a year ago, and it actually makes the cupholder function. I know, its dusty.....AZ
You can swivel it for the passenger to use and I left some slack from my IPOD2CAR so the passenger can take it out of the holder and play with the ipod while sitting. http://www.amazon.com/Belkin-F8E467-.../dp/B0000ULJWS
Thanks for the pics guys! I actually like the center console idea, as obvious as it is, I didn't even think of that. Kind of out of sight, out of mind.
I like stingrays idea too, but I already have the Sirius unit molded into the ashtray compartment.
I glued down the adapter plate to the cup holder that came with my nano. I ran a charger wire and a headphone jack to the cup holder and glued them to the adapter plate. Ran the other end of the charger cable to the armrest's 12 volt outlet and the headphone jack to the AUX BOX.
Sorry, no pics, the car is under a cover and some snow.
