Default is it time for a C6?

Was at Hawthorne Chevy dealer and they had 3 2005 C6's , one in a magnificent looking ruby red with ~31 k miles for only $31k!!!

Gotta love depreciation! This makes me wonder how much my 98 vert is worth... DOH

Yeah the C6 depreciation baffles me. A local dealer has 04 C5s for MORE money than some of their 05s and 06s. Their 04 verts are even higher than that. The C5s have seemed to have stopped depreciating lately it seems.

My local dealer has a few '08s sitting out in the lot w/ $37,xxx numbers in the windos There's gotta be a catch.

I love my car, but if I'd known about the LS3 and the prices a year ago, I'd have put my car back to stock and sold it vs. going ***** deep w/ the cam and now the targa/repaint.

I know I'll be happy when my car is done, but right now it'd be very nice to have a white '08 w/ a full warranty and nothign to do to it.

For the past few weeks I have been doing alot of looking myself and I see alot of C5s with about 20-30,000 miles for about $30,000 but I also have seen some C6s with less than 10,000 miles and a warrenty for 34-36,000. I am looking at getting a C6 I just wanna get the best deal for the dollar. So I guess this isn't the answer you are looking for but just know you are not alone I have the same issue here.

As much as all of us love our C5's, with C6 prices the way they are, I'm sure there will be some of us moving up in the very near future.

Its almost time for a C6 Z06. Hopefully the price of those will drop once the ZR1 comes out. But I will be keeping my C5.

the C6 never truly excited me, well maybe the LS3 has a little, but I wouldn't mind getting into a C6 Z!

If I get one, the C5 will not get replaced. I don't have kids and I'm not a one woman man so I don't see why I can't have two Vettes!! I will prob keep the C5 as long as I live. I always wanted a C5 and got it. Its my first and I want to keep it and give it to my kids, If I have any.
