Default Im Over Joyed

First off i would love to say thanks for letting me be a part of this forum.

I just bought my first vette of off Ebay Turned out to be a decent car with only 25000 miles. Only problem with this forum is i already spent money on some things off here and its already breaking me hahah i just cant keep up with it.

I am asking for a few favors and some advice....Im wanting to use a pic of my car for the avatar but it keeps telling me 150x150 and i do 150x130 and still says its too big ...was wondering if anyone could help me with that.

With just buying my vette my immediate mods are painting the fuel rail covers yellow to match the car (being done right now) Complete Stereo upgrade which I love how some of the forum members have incorporated PC parts for there choice but unfortuantly no one around here knows how to so i will be doing a PIONEER AVIC-series for my head unit and then im looking for the best sounding componet sets and subs along with amp, so im curious to hear some input on that.

Then im gonna throw some rims on there which Black with a nice deep chrome lip is my choice the only problem is which way to go .....20"s and 19 or 19" and 18 im not sure which is better. Input on this would be great too.

These upgrades alone will break me im sure but those are my 2 loves audio and rims. I currently own a 2002 Mercedes Benz that i decked out and i have some Ruff Rims on them now that are black and i saw where someone was offering those just dont want the same design.

If this is the wrong place to post this im sorry as im new so please let me know if i screwed up. If someone can help me with my avatar im throwing in this pic so they can use it i would appreciate any help i may get.

Again its a huge pleasure to be a part of this group as some of you have already made me feel like family I look forward to everynight i come home and hanging out with you guys who share the same appreciation for something i love more than my wife, My Vette

Im down, I will message them and see if they are ever down. Probably in the spring sometime. Yeah I know one that visits alot, his sn is junkman something. I don't know him personally but talked to him on here a few times. The other two don't get on here that often but I can get contact with them through AIM or PMs.
You got any performance plans in the future or just audio and rims. I'm going to be working on my audio next. We should all def get together sometime.

Yes, the Junkman does get to E-Town quite a bit as some of my biggest customers are there. The Junkman is also a computer guru so DrChronik, you should have looked me up on that stereo project you wanted to do. If you have any questions just give me a holler. I'll be glad to lend my expertise or assistance. I'm not much help this week as I'm getting over the flu and a high temperature. My ride is sitting in the garage half taken apart by some mods I was doing. Hopefully when I get back in there I'll remember what I was doing,

Congrats!

Man don't let a shop do it. There are tons of write up on how to change the head unit on the car and everything. Is that a Single din or a double din? It its a double you need to get a modified bezel or do it yourself. If you just change the head unit you will need an adapter for the factory speakers, but it will sound like crap. It's better to change all the speakers. There are some vendors on here that sell nice boxes for subs.
And front speaker adapters so you can change the speakers there. How many subs you want?

Well, I'm doing my HID's first. For the last 3 days I've tossed and turned thinking that I was working on the car only to wake up and realize I'm dreaming. That sucks. I'm also going to fix my leaky butt seals and change that OPS that died this summer. I still have to put my Fat Mamma's on and I just got my Tiger Shark finished. There's other stuff I have to do but I have a business to run so I can't just hole up in the garage!

I don't do audio installs anymore (haven't since the 80's) but when it comes to incorporating a computer into the mix, I can let you know if your ideas are plausible or not. Computers are my specialty now where audio was back in the 80's. In my Vette, I'm still running the crappy Bose system. Now my DD is a whole 'nother story!
