Default Headers, Codes, and Tune Question

I am just about wrapped up installing TSP longtube headers and cat-less X-pipe, as well as removing the AIR system from my 01 Z. The headers require extensions of the front 02 sensors, and get rid of the rears. I am well aware that I will get codes for both the 02s as well as the AIR system, but will these codes cause any damage or make the car run like crap until I get the tune done? I plan on doing the tune in the spring, and don't plan on driving it much before I do so. I probably won't even pull it out of the garage until spring, but will I be safe to start it up and idle for a while in the garage to check for leaks and listen to the new rumble?

I assume that I should be ok as I know some guys drive around after header installs with no tune, but I just want to double check.

Thanks!!
