Turn Signal Socket Grease...?
This week my front pass turn signal stopped working during a drive in hard rain and I got the hyper blinking symptom. Found the fix here but found that the turn signal socket was full of grease and after I wiped a little off, the bulb worked fine. Not blown. I assume the grease was a non-conducting sort to help keep out moisture, but it seemed to short the bulb out. Does GM add the grease?
Any thoughts?
Maybe the bulb was just loose?
