I just went out in the garage a couple of days ago and installed longer rear bolts, after measuring, I adjusted to exactly 1 inch longer. I went to the front and found out that I could turn the adjusting screw 5 complete turns before bottoming out. Does anybody have an idea how far this will lower the front? Since the back is 1 inch difference, the 5 turns wasn't an inch so I am worried about the ratio from front to back. I believe that I will be fine but won't be able to drive the car until Spring. Thanks guys for all input and while you're at it, how do you cut the bushings in half on the front. Is there a way to take the things out without disassemblying the front end? Or do you do it on the car?
I posted on tech also, but like this one better....
Thanks..bob.
yeah most likely your rear will have a smaller gap than your front. if you look at the pics that most guys post, this is often what you will see.
i cut 1/3 of my front bushing off and put longer bolts in the rear. my tires are exceptionally tall in the back so my rear has a smaller gap than the front. i don't want to cut my front bushings any more so the next front tires i get are going to be slightly taller.

Could you explain how you cut the front bushings, how do you get them off the car or is it possible to do this on the car?? Thanks.......bob

Thanks, was wondering how to cut the front bushings on the car if I'm not satisfied with the other results...bob.
If I remember correcly you can jack up the front end of the car and should be able to get a knife in there and cut it while on the car. Once you get the car in the air it should be obvious if you can or not. Sorry been a while since I lowered the car.
