Nice price, local purchase? what store?

I'm on stockies on the 1998 but I think I'm opting for a set of Exlaim UHP's.

Michelin PS2's, 18" front and rear on my Z06. Love them even if they are just a little expensive. Aside from all the positive attributes, fortunately I'm also getting surprisingly good wear.

Default Michelins

I'm running CCW 505a's and Michelin 18/19 non runflats. They are quieter, ride better and look better than the orginals. Ron

I am the member that made that post. This forum (a very good place to be I might add ) is NOT indicative of the typical Corvette owner. Most that post here are diehard enthusiats that add superchargers and CAIs and track their cars frequently. I will readily admit that OEM Goodyears are not the tire you want if you are the diehard speed demon that goes to the track on a regular basis.

With that in mind, there is another group that doesn't track their Vettes but just don't want to pay the premium of keeping OEM Goodyear on their car. This is almost never given as a reason for going with non-run flats or cheaper run flats because no one would be honest enough to admit that on an open forum. Michelins A/S ZPs are a good alternative to OEM if you live in an area that sees more than two seasons and you use your car as a daily driver.

The best (and most honest and unbiased) answer that anyone can give you about C5 tire choices is to decide what is best for your driving style and budget. There are trade offs with every choice you make. OEMs fit my driving style and budget the best. I like the safety and convenence that they offer, and I think they are the best looking tire you can buy for the C5 at standard sizes. But that is just me.

There are lot Vette owners that stay stock or mostly stock, including the tires. They just don't post up on here. I am not trying to encourage you to stay with OEM rubber in any way, do what YOU think is best for your driving style and budget.

I just wore out a set of Michelin Pilot Sports on my 01, the Michelins were good, I don't think they give the best life though.

I just installed Goodyears GS-D3's.

They aren't much of a snow tire so I can't comment on the them yet.
