Left Tucson Dec. 20th for Tampa and Christmas with the grandson. Left Tampa the 28th for a trip to Charlotte and a surprise visit with our youngest son. Left Charlotte the 30th for the trip home to Tucson. Lots of miles on the Vette, but it is by far the most comfortable car I have ever owned. Crusing at 80+ across the bottom of Texas is a gas.
I envy you, great trip. Mine's in for the winter here in Wash. State. Like you said, the trips I've taken have been very comfortable and a lot of fun. Cruising at 80 seems so effortless and smooth.
Nothing to do right now except plan a couple trips for this spring and summer. Sometimes March is a good month so only about 2 more months to get on the road again.
Oh yeah, once you get past Kerrville and the speed limit goes to 80 you can really cover some ground. Made the trip out that direction for my fathers funeral back in August and the leg from Kerrville to Ft. Stockton went amazingly quick.
For the last two years the wife and I have taken the C5 from northcentral Pa to Miami Florida on vacation. It gets good gas mileage, is fun for the long cruise and comfortable as hell. Would never hesitate to take it on a long cruise.
