Just curious what people use to price their C5??? I ask because I've seen a few C5's listed recently that have said the car is priced right at ********* but when I look at the car/options and Edmunds the numbers don't jive.
Will a stock C6 actually be worth less then then a stock C5 in 2 years???? Just looking for opinions.
the c6 will be worth more because it is newer and people can get loans for them. I normally use both books and see what people are paying on the forum to judge the value of a car
KBB and probably Edmunds ask where you are from to give their prices, so if you are from a lower price area of the country you may see lower prices for the same car someone else sees higher prices for.
Autotrader.com is more accurate in my opinion. It lists cars from private parties, and from dealers in your area. It is a real world picture of what cars are going for in your local area, not a general number like KBB or Edmunds gives you.

KBB or Edmunds, just gets you in the ballpark. You may pay more, you may pay less.
That is the point. Autotrader shows you EXACTLY what the cars with the options and mileage you are considering are selling for in YOUR area. The other services are general pricing for the entire country and may NOT be the going prices specific to your location. Just look at Barrett-Jackson. Are the prices these rich guys pay really what people are paying for these cars in your town? I doubt it.
Thanks guys. I'm new to the vette scene and just trying to figure out what these things are worth. I've been watching the 4-sale board for about 2 months and just when I think I broke the code I see someone make a post saying the car is priced right but IMO the guy has been hitting the sauce/ect.
