There is a possibility that I'll be coming down to West Palm Beach to work on a 2 year contract within an IT department.
What's the DMV rules on plates and personal license.
My wife will have a Vette and so will I.
I am not giving up my Ohio residency and am maintaining my residence here.
I wasn't sure about what you were looking for. I can't imagine that you need to do anything special since we see tons of Northerners down here for the winter and they don't change anything on their plates.
You shouldn't have to do anything as long as you are maintaining your residency in Ohio. But if you change that, then the state wants you to convert your DL and plates to FL ones.
I'm in IT as well, and used to do the consulting thing, finally took a permanent job here in FL (moving from WI) a few years ago - don't miss the cold weather, that's for sure...

You will probably just look like the many other snowbirds driving around the state and no one will think anything of it. But don't even think you will get a "long distance" award at any shows. We did a few cruises when we were there (New Jersey tags) and lost out every time. Benpup, I'm happy for you.

Just in case you have technical problems or need service work, Eismanns Corvette Center in Jupiter. Only vettes, excellent place. Jim and his folks are the best and give the vette the kind of TLC we only wish we could get anywhere else. Not cheap, but worth it.
Hopefully you won't need it. Nuther IT vette owner in SF
On your way down, stop by EG's and have a couple of super chargers installed.

I can vouch for both these shops. Stephen at Englandgreen is an exceptional tuner who has worked his magic on my blown car and Eismann's is really the only choice for Vette wrench work here in the North Palm Beach area. You should not pass up the opportunity to stop in at EG on the way down. Stephen is incredibly knowledgeable and a truly remarkable individual.

OMG this place rocks! Great food, late hours, top notch bands. Hey lil vette, how come there is a brass pole permanently mounted in front of the band stand?
