I have been thinking about it, Looking at other vettes without them, Even to the point of asking to see pic's of other vettes without them. Today I did it.
I removed the BSM's from my Vert. Here's the after pic's.

I had the heat up in the garage to 60 degrees today. Used a heat gun and the fishing line to get it started. But after I got about 8-9 inches into it I simply started to pull on it and it can right off. Little to no adhesive left on the car. Just used some Goo Gone and my finger nail to get what was left on the car off then the porter cable buffer to finish it off. Entire job took 45 minutes to an hour to complete.

I think the BSM's look better on some colors than others. With yours, I still have them on my black C5.

Installation was not that bad.... First off what I have learned is not to use the 3m tape that comes on the front screens (fog light area). Basically if you ever need to adjust the for lights, you can't... I'm going to remount both of ours with velcro so they can come out even for cleaning.
The front brake duct screens were a PITA and you have to make sure they are in there good. My wife already lost one of them. Rear's are real easy to install. Sides are a job, jack up the front and remove the front wheel. Then take the panel off inside the fender well. Then you can get the side ones in....

I was thinking of just doing the sides, as can be seen in your pics. Figures those would be the hardest to install.
