Chrome can be dangerous!!!
A few days ago I was cleaning my chrome C6 coupe replica rims - nothing special going on - sun was behind my back on a warm and sunny day in beautiful over populated Southern California.
My left hand was on the ground next to my rim while my right hand was polishing - what I didn't even think about was my left hand was sitting in my rims reflection. Suddenly my hand became very sore and uncomfortable - I looked down at it thinking I had just been bit by something!
Turns out the sun's reflection off the chrome was burning hand! Next time I'll be more careful, but that's something I NEVER would have even thought about!

I have heard of similiar instances where a lot of chrome under the hood bling has caused the custom under the hood insulated blanket, to curl and discolor very prematurely, just from the extras magnified reflection off all the bling on the engine and engine bay compartment.
