I guess it would depend on if they came with a x pipe & cats, or just the headers by themselves. I saw some Kooks Headers used going for $700 somewhere recently. That was just headers alone, so you'd have to buy cats and a x pipe or run no cats but in Cali that's a .

I opted to buy my AR Headers w/ catted X new from a local tuner who was running a header/install/tune package. Couldn't be happier, I dropped it off, picked it up, all was done, handed him my Visa, and was ready to start scarring the $h!t outta myself!

There's nothing wrong with used headers if they aren't dented up. I found a set of LG streets with HF cats on CF last year. Unfortunately they were pick up only in SanJose. (I'm in NY). Fortunately I was flying out to SanJose the next morning. I picked them up and brought them home as checked luggage.

Well some of us feel the same way...WE DON'T CARE if they are legal in CA or not and have them on our cars..as for removing CATS it'd a FED law that they remain on the car and not be altered at all and if caught there is a HUGE fine and if a muffler shop doe it they could be in BIG trouble.......besides w/o cats you will get a GAS smell...not much HP to gain w/o cats My .02
Use LT headers are a great buy..expecially from CA sellers...

Interesting so without cats it doesnt give you much horse?
