Default Where to get a Bra

Anyone know where to get the cheap front bra (black one)?? The ones I keep finding are $500+, I see the cheaper ones go for $50 on the forum but I would like used. I am only going to use it for a drive to florida.

I've seen people use Saranwrap for one time autocrosses.

I was thinking the same thing. $1000 for a big bang! Sounds like fun.

Try putting a good coat of wax or polish on the car and using clear duct tape, I use it on my mirrors and rockerpanels and it works fine, make sure you have some goo begone and be prepaired to wash and wax your car on arrival. I also use saran wrap when driving to a show after spending hours on the paint. Works for me. Just take it off a couple of Blocks from the show or be prepared to get a lot of ribbing.

For the dollars, I think GM probably has the best deal. When I bought mine they were around $100.00, but that was several years ago.

Most GM dealers should have the GM Bra avail. for under 100.00. I installed one last year on my 04 Coupe and am very happy with it. Do a search on here for tips on how to install with marine snaps. Makes it much easier. Good luck.

Go with the GM bra, it's even lightly padded.

Haven't seen a used one advertised in the for sale section for quite a while. Contact Gene at GMPartsHouse and see what kind of price he has for a new GM bra.

Got a brand new GM bra from fichtnerchevrolet.com last summer for $75. Looking at there web site today it says GM supplier of the bra is out of business. It's a good bra, i use painters tape around the edges that might rub and have no problem.

You might check other parts houses, some might still have the GM bra in stock?? Good bra for the price.

Here's a pic

PD auto Concepts has a clear bra for around 500. They even post here in the forsale section.

I only used a bra once on my C4 and had fine scratches. With the C5 i use the wide blue painters tape under any corners or open flat spots where the bra is not clamped down pretty good.

Across the hood is an example and towards the fender well is another. Have had no problem with the C5 doing this. I only use it on road trips so it's not a big deal to tape and it will save you some small scratches i believe. Also, clean the bra inside and try not to run it when wet.

Photobucket is out right now or i would send you a pic, maybe later.

PS - there is a difference between a regular bra and the Z06 because it needs air in the front, regular C5 does not and has plastic inserts which saves you a lot of bug cleaning.

please don't put a black bra on your vette... it really doesn't look good... you can get a clear bra from a company called MIS. the bra is kind of expensive but it won't scratch, fade or mess up your paint. its easily removable, it protects your car from rocks and other road hazards. its a good buy even though its a bit expensive. if you look at my avatar you wont even notice but there is a bra on there from MIS
