That actually makes some sense. EMT's will have a stiffer sidewall, contributing to more rut wander, or "trammeling"

"Trammeling" is why I try to drive to either side of the main tracks when this happens.

I had this problem develop years ago when I owned a 1986 GTA Trans Am. It turned out to be the tires wearing out. As soon as I replaced the tires with the same exact type (Eagle Gatorbacks) the car drove like new.

The older the tire the harder it gets.

My Z06 had the back tires sideways hop until I put on Coilovers, then it went away.

It's the tires. Runflats are known for this.

When I first bought my C4, it was down-right dangerous on a road that was grooved.
Turned out to be a camber problem on the rear wheels.
