I wish someone would make something like this for the C5. The stock C5 FRC's don't bother me, but I'd like to see more options like the ones below for the C5 intake cover that closely match or integrate with the stock FRC's. I don't like those chrome C5 intake covers.
Sorry for the Mustang covers... , but I think I'd rather have something like that over the one-piece ZR1 cover.

Those covers do look good. There is a cover similar to those made for the C5, but it doesn't look as good IMO. West Coast Corvettes sells it and it is made from carbon fiber. Cost - $399.95
Im not a big fan of the one peice FRCs or even anything that covers the intake.
The Mustang one is actually a multi-piece set. I probably wouldn't cover up a FAST intake or a custom setup. Just the stock intake. I'd love to have something like that middle piece to cover the intake, but rounded a little bit to integrate with the stock FRC's and with "Powered by Chevy" and the C5 logo.
STREET AND PERFORMANCE (hotrodlane.cc) is a very well known supplier of anything sbc/bbc, LT1/LT4 and LSx motors for street rods (they also deal in MOPAR and Ford stuff).
They have a one piece fiberglass engine cover for the LSx motors advertised, but I can never find it in their online catalog.
You might check with them.

Hmm... I found this on their site. It's a link off of the top left of their page.
I could never find the reference in their online PDF catalog for part number or price. I don't particularly care for those, personally.
Have you considered some of the engine covers that come on the LSx motors on GMC or Chevrolet trucks? They'd probably require some modifications for attachment. Another DIY cover might be found on the Cadillac Northstar motors or Chevrolet SSR motors.
This is the cover that came oem on my 6.0L Silverado. There are some variations depending on years... http://i114.photobucket.com/albums/n...6090707007.jpg
You might check out the advertisers in the back pages of STREET RODDER magazine. There is one company that manufactures/sells one piece fiberglass engine covers. Again, attachment would be your challenge. They come in various styles.
