Default Exhaust installed today

I just had a magnaflow cat back exhaust installed today along with a bassani X pipe. What a great combination for someone who is looking for low rumble insteads of the braak of some of the systems I have heard. It is not loud but has a definate sound that is louder than stock and much more rumble at idle. Seat of the pants it feels like I picked up some quickness but that is probably my imagination. On the other hand I bought a halltech stinger from a forum member and I turns out to be for a 2001 and up I have a 98, someone has drilled a hole on the passanger side and installed a hose that I think wraps under it to pick up the sensor that is on the drivers side of the stock air bridge. I am not happy. I PM'd the seller and I hope he will take it back and credit my paypal account. If not I am out 185 bucks. OH well, I love the exhaust.

Thanks for listening.

George

Did the same about a week ago. Changed from stock muffler/H-Pipe and installed Bassani X-Pipe, and Z06 Ti muffler system, had Magnaflow hi-flow CAT's, but my installer told me I already had stainless steel hi-flow CATs, so didn't put on the Magnaflows for that reason and another one. The TI's and X-Pipe give me a little more growl, that's what I wanted, nothing too strong with too much drone. I'm happy, and yea, I think I feel more HP also.....

I went with the Donaldson Blackwing. Halltech stinger, yep, I believe you need the kit for the 97-2000 C5. well hopefully you'll be able to contact the seller about that. Did he advertise 01 and later, or did he say it would fit your 97? Not all forum sellers are bad, and hopefully it was just an oversight on his part and he will make it right. Good luck...

Can't you just put a plug in the hole? That would be the way to go, I have the Halltech for my 2002 and it has a hole in the filter that hooks up to a hose, If you don't need the hose just plug it.
