I just received my Tigershark front facia from 21st Century Musclecars. It was easy to pull the old front end off. The new one lines up fairly well, but Im fairly **** when it comes to fender and hood gaps. Anybody out there that has installed there own please post whether you where able to get really good alingment without any filling or mods to the new front facia. I have just a little more gap at the corners where the hood meets that I would like and the front facia sets a little taller than the front edge of the stock hood. Thanks any info would be helpful
A few tricks of the trade. The front nose has an adjustable edge that can be raised or lowered so that the fascia and the hood will align correctly.
For even more perfection, you can get some large size washers and shim it from underneath to get it perfect.
I am in the midst of converting my coupe to an FRC and outting on my tiger shark nose and mcm hood plus a bunch of ACP body parts.

The TS sitting higher than the hood was the problem I had when mine was installed. I adjusted all the post and that thing wouldn't line up for nothing. Then I got to looking at the the bolts that hold the hood onto the hood mounting bracket and saw that ONE of those bolts is an adjusting bolt. Sure enough, that did it. It's not perfect on the sides so I'll need to do some more adjusting but that awful alignment issue in the front is gone.

Slide a few large washers under the low areas to make it fit better. That's how GM does all of your fenders, etc..
No fog lights, I agree there are alot of adjustments, I spent the day working this one over and it fits much better than when I started. It is not a bolt on install if you want it to look correct. I also worked the center out some with 40 grit paper, the facia is very thick there and some material can be removed, also have a good friend in the body buisness.
i'd like to save the cost of a shop doing it, is it fairly straightforward?
Yeah, it is pretty easy. You'll have to pull off your front fascia and then check the fit of the tigershark and then send it out to get painted and then install it.
Not sure what color you car is and whether or not you'll need to blend paint into the hood and fenders.

i doubt i would need to. my quarters were panel painted and they match perfectly.
so if the test fit had issues, i'd probably have to let the body shop deal with it?

The shop that did mine has a guy who specializes in after market kits. He said that he has done some that were a major PITA. He then started describing how much work he did on mine but at the end said that this was one of the more pleasant experiences that he has had with an after market install. For what it's worth...
Mine lined up real good. It was done at a body shop so I don't know how difficult it was or if there were problems. I am very satisfied with the results though!
About time I saw a pic with the emblem on the TS bumper! I love the way they look and if I cold afford it, I'd get one, but it seemed a little empty without the emblem.

Less is more. Looks cleaner without the emblem. Anyone who doesn't know what kind of car it is doesn't care what kind of car it is.
