Actual Bacon saved? Probably once or twice....but nothing too serious. I was going to mention a more serious moment but I just remembered I had it on competitive driving....so while it helped some, the main reason I came out of it was some seriously fast steering input!! Each incident teaches a new level of respect....
Twice.
First time was my first time driving the z06 in the rain less than a week into learning how to drive stick and on old F1s.
Second time I was being an idiot .
Really??? I won't say it has saved my life, but it has definitely helped me keep composure a few times:o
Maybe I don't drive aggressively enough to need it or maybe being an old racer I don't get in over my head, but I have never felt like I was in a position where it kept me out of trouble. Breaking the rear end loose a bit doesn't bother me, I just feather the throttle and let it rehook and go on. I don't drive the vette in the snow so that isn't an issue. If you feel like it has saved you, then, I won't argue with you, I am sure you know your driving habits better than I do.
