Default Today's Work.........

VincentJames501's car again. Sadly, no pics. I was too dirty to bust out the camera. I had him bring it back to tidy up the Kooks headers I did last weekend. Got him new grade 8 hardware and realigned the tips to perfection. But.....that dang leak persisted. Then I noticed it. A wide open O2 bung on the drivers side header, facing almost straight up by the oil filter. That header has 3 O2 bungs on it for some reason. Fortunately, I had a plug in the garage, so he was set there.

Installed a C6 ZO6 shifter today on his car. My first experience with a C6Z shifter. It's not as short of a throw as I normally like, but it is wonderfully smooth and light, a real pleasure to drive.

And the highlight of today's endeavour: Koni Sport (orange) shocks. We dialed them up full stiff on the rebound. What an amazing difference these did for the feel of the car. Originally a stock base suspension 99 Coupe felt like a freaking race car the first turn I made. They were a PITA to install because of how stiff they were, but each one became progressively easier.

Only one casualty. My left index finger. That nail is going to be done soon I bet. Smashed it something fierce. That, and some bloody knuckles, but all is fun when you're working on a Vette! Great way to end a day after launching fighter missions from 2 AM til' 12:30 PM.

Sounds like you had a fun day. You need some helping hands to take pictures why you work.

The extra bung whole is for a wide-band.
