Vararam Velocity Stack does this require retuning of the ECU?
I came across this Vararm Velocity stack on corvette garage, and noticed it's a low cost part for a little bit of horsepower. I was wondering if there is any advantages or disadvantages to install this and if I would need to get my car tuned in order for this to work...

I had one on my 2004 Silverado 5.3L and was not impressed. Maybe it did help, but it just seems kludgey to use a piece of thermo-formed ABS plastic in your throttlebody. I sold it for $10 about a week ago.
I'd save my pennies and get a ported TB. Just my $0.02!
EDIT: to answer your question, no you probably wouldn't need to tune for this part alone.

I loved the vararam so much I had to try this as well. I tried this on back to back 1/4 mile runs and never saw any benefit from using this item. My personal opinion is that it hurt my MPH slightly.
