Default 345/30/19

guys my question is does anyone have 345/30/19 on the rear of there C5 Z with about a 12 to 13 inch rim? If so please post pics and what you had to do to make them work. I am wanting to go this rout but wanting to know what I am going to have to do to make them work. I am wanting to get some CCW's 19X12's or 13's.

... not without sticking WAY out of the fenders. I have 305/30/19s. They BARELY fit on the inside even with the rear brake ducts removed. Here is how far mine stick out.

Is your fitment issue because of the 19" wheel?
I have 315's on my stock wheels with no problems rubbing and they don't really stick out either.

To the OP:
If you want to go that wide you have 1 of 3 choices.
1 they will stick out by at least 1/2" and you will most likely have to remove your brake ducts.
2 put a mini tub kit, and again you will be removing the brake ducts but the tires will fit flush like stock.
3 you can put on a wider rear fender from ACP or L-5 motorsprts.

I could probably get 315s under there without hitting... I just went the safe route with 305s. My point was that 345s aren't going to fit under there without sticking out quite a bit.

Depending upon which brand you buy a 345/30-19 can have a diameter as large as 27.2 inches. Stock 295/35-18 is 26.1 inches. The inch + larger diameter is enough to make your speedometer read over 4% too low and possibly more importantly it is a pretty big move in the wrong direction in relation to overall gear ratio. If you have installed different gears this would probably not be an issue.

The speedo can be corrected in your tune.

I removed the brake ducts... ummm... because they hit.
Different brands = different widths... I don't know what to tell you. You can see in the picture how far they stick out (not much) and they hit the ducts on the inside. Do I have to send pictures to prove it? They are Bridgestone Potenza RE050As on CCW 19s.

You need a mini tub, with correct offset wheels, or fender flares.

I am planning on doing the mini tubs. I talked to Jon today and he said that he would run 19's all the way around. 19x10's front 285/30/19and 19x13 with 345/30/19 in back with a LPE mini tubs. I just want that wide as tire look. The inch taller tire isn't going to hurt me at all with the maggie

Tubbing is the only way to make it look right IMO. I also recommend going with 19x13 to spread the tire out a bit more if it will fit. While on the subject, I would stick with 18's if you need to get power down. It's hard to find a good (sticky) tire in 19.

Well I placed the order today for my wheels and tires, 19x10's up front with 285/30/19's and out back 19x13's with 345/30/19's Nitto INVO's 505a's. Man I can't wait.
