The speed controlled volume no longer works in my 2004 Bose. Is there a fix for this without pulling the radio? A fuse would be nice.
I doubt you can fix this without pulling the radio and having someone repair it..........may be easier and cheaper to look in the parts section for a used Bose unit..........they are on there all the time
Mine hasn't worked either since I bought my car a year ago. Haven't given much thought to fixing it. Not really that hard to reach up and turn the volume up or down. Would be nice if it worked, though.
Have to replace it. I've had it a few GM vehicles and I do not like it. I turn it up to the level I like and leave it there. No matter if I'm going 100 mph or 10.
Mine works just fine ... too well in fact. I did the sound insulation thing, in the hatch and wheelwells, and now it turns itself up too loud for the quieter car at higher speeds.
Also have the same feature in my Caddy crossover. It doesn't seem to work quite like it should ... have to manually increase the volume at higher speeds. Pretty simple with steering wheel mounted controls though.
You could try this cheap fix:
Disconnect your battery for a 10 minutes or so then reconnect it.
All the electronics in my car work better after a little disconnect. My radio speed volume, F45 suspension and my dash lights, heater controls, fobs and memories all are back to factory fresh standards after a 'reboot'.
Weird but true.
