I’ve got the Bilsteins sport, Zo6 sway bars and springs on my coupe. Lowered all the way on factory bolts. Love the setup. Car is now what it should have been from the factory.
Good luck.
went to my friend Mr. Search & found this thread. a few months ago I replaced the old factory shocks with C6 Zo6 shocks, well the wife complains it rides to ruff, & it also sits a little higher. folks are praising the Koni FSD's, all the posts I have read except 1 say they are great. the 1 thread I read said they ride stiff like a vette should. I need a shock that she is happy with, is the Koni that shock or not? I MUST HAVE A SMOOTH RIDE TO KEEP MAMA HAPPY!!
There are lots of good shocks out there as others have posted. Before buying you need to take into consideration your driving style.
For example, if you get a shock that is really firm but like a softer ride you are going to be unhappy.
I have Z sways, Z springs with Bilstein Sport shocks. On the awesome Arizona highways that setup is great but I'm a little tired of the rough ride on the city streets.
For grins and giggles I'm thinking of popping on the base shocks (that only have 5000 miles on them) just to see how they will react with the Z springs/sways. Maybe I'll go for Bilstein "HD's" instead of my current "Sports" in the near future.
There's a thread in Parts for sale on a used set of Koni FSDs. They have 800 miles on them and are selling for $499 shipped. Thats a pretty good deal. I paid $629 shipped months ago.
