On my way to Florida a couple of weeks ago, my speedometer began malfunctioning. It just fluctuates all over the gauge. It seems to normalize when I am steadily turning left, or when the weight of the car is shifted toward the right side. As soon as I straighten the car, it goes crazy again. I hear there is a speed sensor at the transmission, but a sensor problem usually doesn't react to physical changes like the weight shift thing. Maybe a bad connection? The Corvette is a 1997 M6 with 13K miles.
Does anyone have any experience with this, or have any light they can shed on this problem? Thanks in advance!

hahah, no clue. you should take a video and post it i think that would be hilarious. If it maxes out you should slow the video down and act like you went 0-200 in like 10 seconds
Do you have any codes tripped? Mine was goofing up a while back when I was have EBCM problems. The speedo malfing up seemed to coincide with when the EBCM codes were tripping. I guess the two talk to one another when everything is working properly. I replaced the EBCM and the speedo hasn't acted up since.
I heard a fix awhile back but didn't give it a second thought I have never experienced the problem you are having. It sounds simple enough but disconnect you battery leave it off for 15 minutes and hook it back up. It may fix the problem.

No no, not yet. Post a vid of it first like what bgreen said! it would be awesome
I just went to lunch, and leaving the restaurant, the DIC started telling me to service TCS and ABS! The speedometer has been crazy for two weeks, and I drive the car every day, so I doubt the two are related. This is getting frustrating. I'm just hoping that when I leave work in a few hours, the TCS and ABS errors will be gone.
