Looks like I am going to have to pull the intake to replace the oil sensor, do i have to drain the water? Does it go thought the intake at all? I Have read the howto's but do not see if you have to or not.Thanks. Jack

You don't have to mess with the water if you've already done a throttle body bypass.

I could be wrong but I do believe you have to drain some if your removing the intake.

First off you do not have to remove your intake on your 2000 vert. its just ten bolts, you dont have to remove injectors or fuel line..Just have to move the intake forward about six inches. Ive done it several times.. last time took me 45 minutes start to finish..this is including replacing the oil sensor.

the two bolts under the cowl at the rear have to be held up with some tape in order to clear the block... there is an air manifold on the rear of the intake.. it has a very small hose ( make sure you put this back, it controls your AC vent managment, also another larger L shaped hose connector.

Map sensor on the rear of the manifold. Be careful taking it loose as it breaks fairly easy.

Default Thanks for all the help

I finely have it apart just to find out I don't have a deep socket big enough to get it out. I will have to buy one tomorrow, and try to get it back together tomorrow. I think I read somewhere it is 1 1/8 deep socket. I am looking for that info now. But thanks for all you help. Jack

P.S. I did lose a little water out of one small hose I took loose, and I had to take the fuel line off it was to short.

Thanks Bill! Glad you're back. That even sounds easier than the access hole in the cowl. '02 bought new, haven't had to do this yet.
