z06 package
Hi guys i have a question i bought a 2000 corvette and i have the air ducts by the back tires and two vents in hood. My buddy has the same year vette and no air ducts or vents in hood just flat.I don't no if it makes a difference his is auto and mine 6 speed. Now i was thinking if the z06 came out in 2001 could mine be towards the end of 2000 and have a z06 package just asking guys only been in the vette seen for 3 days so just trying to learn.

No,I've never heard of a pre-Z06 package offered on 2000's.
I would say your car has been previously modded,with the
rear brake ducts and vented hood.
I know my 2000 was built in April of that year but,it's a coupe.
If there was any model that might have gotten it,it probably
would've been the FRC.

is that your vette in the avatar pic?
if so then you deffently dont have a Z06...and vents in the hood? sounds like the guy who had it b4 you threw on an aftermarket hood and slaped on some fake brake ducts on the back.

If your's is a 2000 model, you do not have the Z06 package. The vents in the hood never came on a C5 stock and the rear brake ducts are easily enough added - I put them on my coupe.

Z06 is not a package, it's a separate car from the Coupe or Conv. Different Motor, different suspension, different tranny gears etc. The Z06 only came one way, there were no add on performance options.
The hood on the Z06's is the stock C5 hood, sounds like you have an after market hood on your car or it was modified with after market parts.

Not to sound like a jerk but how do you not know what a Z06 model is? lol The dead give away is your car is a convertible plus you would know instantly if it was a Z06 when you stab the throttle ;-)
But anyway yeah just as others have said you just have a car with a few mods on it from a previous over. Looks real nice BTW!!!

i have seen pics of your car...i know then car be made into a vert...but if the person selling it to him was selling a verted Z06...he would have known cause it would not have been selling for the same price as a reg vert and anyone with the time/love to vert a Z would sell it as a Z not as a reg c5.
And look at the wheels....and you can kinda see lack of red calipers.
