I need a mentor!!! :)
If not, oh well I will face my battles one at a time, right now I've got a thread out that I'm working on figuring out what I want to do for an exhaust. Once I settle on one I'm going to go to the book store and find a book with lots of pop ups and pictures telling me how to install it myself.....
kidding about the pop ups by the way

First off Welcome to the nut house
You will find MANY members here very ready willing and able to help you out with any decisions that you need help with.
Let me ask you---what exactly are you looking for in the way of sound? I have not seen your other thread yet so I figured we'll gt this one off the ground too. I myself have received ALOT of help from the great members here and I wouldn't trade it for the world. This is one fantastic place to be.
Here is an example for you. My car started out as this....

And ended up looking like this (hint---I'm not done yet---just got a new hood
)

I put a Billy Boat Bullet quad tip exhaust. It has an EXTREMELY nice rumble to it and a great sound at WOT (wide open throttle) but if you want a tiny bit louder then you might want to add some headers. I think my husband has American Racing headers but don't hold me to it.
Its all in what you are looking for. Its a never ending project. I did all that to my car and just go a new hood (Thanks Tony
) that I am going to have airbrushed then it will be onto the interior. I stil have new brakes, calipers, rotors, shocks and a HUD unit installed too (all sitting in my garage) You are not that far away so if you have questions---just let me know---after all the help these people have given me---giving some in return is the least I can do

Still trying to decide on a brand for my exhaust system.
Plus I also do a lot of car shows as well. So I want performance on the track, but beauty for off....
I'm sure you are going to be seeing tons of bulletins with me and trouble shooting as it get warmer.
I wanna do as much as i can myself as far as installations.....

I did alot of research before I got my exhaust. I did not go with headers but I will with the next one. I have not done the work myself---thats what the hubby and ESV crew is for
It was not an easy decision to make but I definitely chose the right one and the next car will have the headers with the BB Bullets---the sound is just AWESOME. I also had a new head unit installed with new speakers, amp and sub. Not sure what you hear first my exhaust or my music
Its a close race there.Feel free to ask anything. You are also in th right area and considered part of the NE Wolfpack. They have ALOT of fun all year long. Check out the NE section for events.
We do some events--Carlisle, Thunder on the Boards hosted by the Free State Corvette Club in Ocean City Maryland, Kerbecks Toys 4 Tots (we missed that last year but not this time) and our very own CF Cruise In in Bowling Green Kentucky.
You will have a great time and plenty of help trust me

We all need help and assistance from time to time and that is what we use this forum for: Mentorship.
Sometimes we (ME?) just need attention.
Gotta argue or twist something up just for the sake of conversation.

We are all on a continuous quest for knowledge. We would ALL love to know everything.
I think some of the guys here already know everything...
Except me.

Basically, what you seem to want to do, comes down to how much do you think you can handle. There really isn't a job too big if you have the right equipment, parts, time, space, facilities, and knowledge. How much you want to take on, how much down time are you willing to accept, how much you want to pay....these are all things to consider. At times when you start a mod, it may seem overwhelming, but it all comes together in the end. Pretty much any mod ,or repair, you want to do, someone has done it before, and are more than willing to help you out.
You don't need 1 mentor, you have a whole corvette family of mentors at the ready.

, there is a cool option for abusive folks and it's right at your fingertips the ignore list.
Use as needed. I sometimes think we all have crappy days and get it off our chest here
, but better than kicking the dog. Stick with the good folks who have already replied and you will receive excellent advice. Steve = Stock?? WTF
