97 - 00 345 hp
01 - 04 350 hp

I think its an intake and something else

You may be thinking of the Z06 which started in 01 at 385 and then 405 in 02-04, no clue of difference.

If we're talkin LS1... The 2001 recieved the LS6 intake, raising the hp by 5. Other than that, they are the same as I understand it.

The LS6 got a revised cam in 02, along with a better exhaust raising the hp by 20, again, as I understand it.

Yes, starting with the 2001 model year the LS1 got........."a new composite intake manifold with increased plenum volume and smoother-flowing intake runners. This increased volume of air, delivered to the combustion chamber with less turbulence, allows camshaft lift and overlap to be moderated. The result of the greater air volume is an immediate five-horsepower increase, and the modifications to the camshaft broaden the torque curve yielding a big boost in torque at the low end"

There was the piston ring mod that was done from 2002 onwards to prevent oil consumption under certian conditions, but apart from that I think the motor stayed the same thru 2004.

2003 saw the introduction of the F55 Magnetic Selection Ride Control as a replacement for the earlier F45 adjustable suspension, and the option of the 50th Anniversary Edition in Anniversary Red with Shale interior for an extra $1,200.

2004 saw the Le Mans Commemorative Edition in Le Mans Blue with silver/red stripes and shale interior at a $3,700 option for the 'Vert/Coupe and $4,335 for the ZO6.

97-99, 345 hp

00, 345 hp, with bigger camshaft and pre/pup cats, mostly sold in california and east coast

00, 350 hp, without pre/pup cats, but still with the bigger camshaft, sold throughout the rest of the country, like mine, sold in Cinn. Ohio.

01-04, 350 hp, approximately same cam as 97-99, but with LS6 intake manifold and better flowing cast iron exhaust manifolds, but with 5 hp robbing pre/pup cats installed

interestingly, only the 01 Z06 had the pre/pup cats, as in 02, they were eliminated, just for the Z06, in favor of more efficient, and better flowing regular catalitic convertors.
