Default Interior Door Panels Help

I have a 98 Black Corvette and need to replace the interior door panels. I tried searching the forum and google. The panels i found were $400-$500 dollars!!! Does this sound right? Would any of you happen to know any sites or vendors who would have these in stock? I am just looking replace the old ones with newer stock ones. The panels i have now have air pockets in them and are just starting to look worn. The interior is black also. Thank you in advance for your help.

John

My drivers door has a small air pocket in it. The weird part is the panel is in perfect shape except for the seperation. I was looking at my friends 02 with 20k miles and he is having the same problem. This should have been a recall.

The recall would be nice but i doubt that is going to happen. Looks like the average price for new interior door panels is $500-$700 dollars. Corvette Tax at work all over again.

I thought about using a syringe with some glue in it and giving it an injection. I dont know if the glue would flow through to needle hole. Worth a shot.....

Check with forum vendor Cecil Combs, "C5R 427". He has great prices on used parts..

I have two pristine black/tan door panels (driver/passenger) I might let go if someone offers me a fair price for them.

The air pocket is the least of my worries. It doesn't look like an air pocket so thats what matters to me.
I too was thinking of the needle and syringe fix but I'm sure I'd make it worse.

There are door panels for sale all the time on the world's favorite auction site. Also, try one of the sellers in the Parts forum who are parting out cars. I'd have to think you can find some at a reasonable price at the two sources I mention.
