The Corvette Hood.....

The Corvette Neighborhood.....and family really.....your sisters and brothers and great Uncles.....no, not just your uncles...but your GREAT Uncles!!
When I bought my 'Vette, I was in a wee bit of a fog but thrilled about every inch of what was now considered "mine". It changed my view. It made me proud. It also made me almost pee myself a couple of times.
But the benefit and privilege I did NOT expect, was that it would multiply not only the number of people I might now be involved with, but also introduce a new camaraderie that I would not realize until weeks after me signing on the dotted line.
I started looking around (Thank You WWW.com) and found a local club.
Lo and behold.....I joined RCC (Rose City Corvettes) and then joined this forum.
So, with the simple purchase of a car......I have opened up a whole other world of social relationships, connections, and friends.
And now in the local interest part of this site, we are organizing simple drives to the coast or whatever.
While we only have our cars in common....I bet we will find more.
How great is this???!!
I vote.....Yes....fantastic...GREAT.....I' m totally "in".
What about YOU?
Have you found a new life in the simple purchase of ....."A CAR" ???

I am going down to forum member Chriswtx's house tomorrow to work on some projects. He lives about 50 miles south of me. I met him here a few years ago and he has become a very good friend. Had it not been for this forum we would probably have never met.
Here's to the car that brought us all together!

The Best of Corvette for Corvette Enthusiasts
With the 'Vette, it has it's own special heritage. I feel proud to be a part of it. I enjoy driving it every chance I get, and I've met a lot of new friends here on the Forum and at local car shows and cruise-ins. It's definitely a lifestyle all its own!

Actually now that I think about it, if I had never got into Corvettes, I wouldn't have the job I have now. So I suppose in a kind of funny leap of logic way, you could say that my C4 paid for my C5.
