[Z06] 0-60-What is the Car Length Difference
Let's assume a stock 04Z and a stock 07Z. I own the 04Z now and just sold/gave away the 07Z. Based on what I read, the TIME difference is somewhere around 3/10th of a second 0-60 and maybe 4 MPH and 4 seconds in the quarter. Please correct me if my times are wrong but WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE IN TERMS OF CAR LENGTHS? A fender? A hood length? A full car length? More? Let's use the GM times for the sake of argument.
Thank you for your time,
At 120, if you are 176 ft behind per second, or about 10 car lenghts per second....
It isn't quite that bad during acceleration, since you are talking about an average over a bit lower speed, but a couple of seconds is about a week behind..... Between the C6Z and the C5Z it isn't nearly four seconds in a quarter, more like one or one and a half. There isn't any difference thru first gear of the C5, since both cars run about the same 60 ft times and put down the same rear wheel torque to the end of the C5Z first gear. After that the C6Z pulls ahead.

.1 sec = 1 car length = 10 HP = 100 lbs = 1 MPH
this is all else equal like traction, shifting, etc.
