Shorty's, v.s. LT's??????????
I want to keep the pups, and wonder what the loss will be between the two........Shorty's should bolt directly to the pups.......LT's will not......
Anyone have a CLOSE estimate of the difference??.
PS, already have, but he didn't dyno with JUST the shortys.......and then more added mods....he is kicking serious ponies with his rig.........
I am just trying to see IF the addition of the shorty's is WORTH the expense.....I have no intentions of CUTTING on my rig..........
So, if I want headers, these will have to be the ones.........RAT thinks the LT's are good for an EXTRA 5/10 over the Shorty's.........but, so far....no one has told me the BASIC gain with just the Shorty's.......v.s. Stock manifolds......
The WORTH of these mods is in the eye of the beholder, that said the 10+hp you will get if you gut the pups also will be worth .1+ on the track if your driveing can take advantage of the gain. IMHO Ric
I am guessing, but I would think you will loose 5+ hp leaving the cats on from what you will gain with the shorty's. What's the diff. 02's don't have pups.
I used the bb shorties and noticed a good gain, seams like an honost 8 to 10 rwhp as I was promised by B and B . It was the most gain of any bolt on except air box of course. The l think the long tubes give about another 5 on top and probably double the gain in the midrange on a stock car. How ever if you do heads and cam the difference will be greater. Matt :yesnod:
