Default Oxidation ?

What do you guys use to keep the oxidation from forming on the unpainted parts under the hood? Such as the alternator and bracket, etc.. I live in an area where things rust, corrode, etc.. I am about 5 miles, as the crow flies, from the ocean...

Thanks in advance for any comments and/or suggestions....

No problems here and I live a few miles from the ocean as well. My car stays in a garage BTW.

I keep mine in a garage as well, but the white oxidation forms on all the unpainted parts anyway. I tried putting a light coat of silicone/oil on, but will come back shortly. There must be a trick for this problem..

You guy's might have a lot more humitity than we have here on the west coast. The silicone spray might just be your ticket . Good luck with it
