Different suspension options
I did a search on the forum and found some information, but wanted to try to get additional input.
I'm looking to buy a C5 in the immediate future, as in now
. About a year ago, I owned a '99 C5 that had the Z51 suspension package. I was very happy with it, but I have no experience with the other suspensions. The car will not be my daily driver, only a weekend car.
I've read the base suspension is soft. I've also read what physical parts are different in the Z51. What parts are different over the base suspension with the F45/F55 cars? Are the parts similar to what is on the Z51? Is the ride in sport mode of the adjustable cars similar to the Z51? I assume the maintenance and upkeep for the F45/55 is much higher. Thanks.

The only difference between base and F45 or F55 suspensions are the shocks. The springs and sway bars are the same, which are all softer than their Z51 counterparts.
I replaced my F45 parts w/ Z51 springs, Z06 sways and Koni shocks. The "sport" setting was nothing like this. I felt that it only made the ride slightly harsher on the firmer settings.
