For this time of year and for a 50/50 split of city/hwy driving, that's probably not too bad.

drive tank full and check it manually instead of using the DIC and see what you get

I have an 01 A4 Coupe and do 98% city driving, ususally during rush hour and I get 18.8. This is a daily driver. When I hit the interstate you can watch the mileage incresae.

Wow .... I only get 14 mpg ... Although I like to floor it at the stop lights. But I have never seen the gauges showing more than 15.5 avg even after an hour of highway driving ...

Maybe you should try to reset the average when you're on the highway?

Because you are mixing highway(lets say expressway) with city driving that is brining your average down. 20mpg sounds about right , especially during the cold months as the car will idle higher and longer if you are warming it up ( I see you are in IL so I feel your pain ) If you went on a long road trip all highway miles you would see that mpg increase a good deal.

You are right were you should be.

Maybe I should. I have to find time to sit one day and read through the manual. Havent had time to do anything, with work getting busier and new place and ....

When people get 20 city driving, do they drive it like a regular car ??? Coz I need to do a 0-60 in less than 4s every few stop lights to be able to get that sense of satisfaction

My car makes 428whp and it gets 23mpg on the freeway, with me jumping on the throttle here an there.

All you have to do is hit the reset button while you're on the avg fuel economy display.

I always got more than 20 mpg in the city, and usually between 28 - 30 on the highway - my mpg dropped at about 35,000 miles, so I changed the plugs/wires and cleaned the Blackwing and I'm right back up where it used to be... plugs and wires would normally last more than 35 - 40,000 miles no problem, but my '02 is 6 years old now, so time takes it's toll as well as mileage....

My 04 auto gets 18-21 with the driving conditions you mentioned, if I set the cruise on 70 on the highway I get between 30-33.
