My tuner recommended NGK's Iridium plugs and Taylor racing wires. I didn't re-use the metal plug shields. I stored them away. A little anti-seize on the threads and you're good to go.
Whichever brand you prefer. I've always liked Champion plugs, but I'm sure that many people have a preference for NGK, or Denso, or Autolite, and many others.
Anyway, here are some links to sites that discusses spark plugs ...
NGK TR55 with copper core, no need to spend the money on irridium when it's so easy to replace plugs on these yo ucan do it every 30k. GM Perf 8mm wires are cheaper than stock replacements and will work with stock heat shields too. don't forget the anti-seize and dielectric grease...
I just replaced mine with the autolite iridiums and the red gm performance wires and no issues. Mileage was already average 28.5 at 80 on the interstate before changing havent rechecked it yet
