Twin turbo + nitrous
Then maybe a shift ****!
My first purchase was a new shift **** (about 10 minutes after I got the car home)

Got to start somewhere, but IMO a better first mod is new wheels/tires, new air intake or a cat back exhaust. But that is just my opinion.

Put a C6 shifter with a C6 **** in. The whole setup is a big improvement.
Do it now because if you buy that ****, it will not work on a C6 shifter.

2024 C7 of the Year Finalist - Unmodified
Here's the **** in my C5
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Hurst...em180208572087
Had the Hurst shifter too but took it out, not much fun in stop and go traffic... Love the **** though, I cut an inch and a tenth of the top of the stock shifter and rethreaded it and the Hurst **** doesn't need the stock key thing.
Warning the MOD thing is a slippery slope... once you start, it gets addictive!

Sure I would love to start out with a fully built LS7 layin down almost 600rwhp but let me hit the lotto first
I already have a list of favorit mods but its going to take a long time before I can blow that kind of money. I just want something thats a little easier to deal with in the car other than the stock, oversized, ****.

does the C6 shifter keep the same geometry as the stock shifter? Ive read horror stories about aftermarket shifters and that it is recomended to stay with the stock shifter.

I would go in the for sale section and find a used blackwing intake or something. But the shift **** is something you will have you hands on. just get something that will make you happy
