What components would I need to make the tail lights flush with the body?. I see some kits out there but I would like to make my own.
8 stainless steal screws that are longer than the stock ones. Some pieces of hard plastic that you can drill through. Two different types of gaskets.
Search some of the vendor sites to see if you can find a good picture of all these parts. Much easier to see them than to try to describe them here. I have seen this kit for 19.95 somewhere recently which is not bad considering the price of gas to collect all this stuff.
I think I have installed about five sets of these for people so it is not a hard thing to do. Did one at our hotel at Carlisle a couple of years ago that we had gotten from West Coast Corvettes.
That would probably work. You almost have to have some type of seal once you push them out that far. I bought the 19.95 ones from flea bay, but once I say what they were, you could make them yourself. They just already had the distance right.
That's the look I'm after Paul, not totally flush but inset the exact same depth as the third brake light. You got those nylon spacers were thetaxman suggested? It looks like two are 3/4" and the rest are one inch or 7/8"...
Thanx both of you! Those, longer screws some EPDM and Spring time and I'm set!

Thay came from eba...y last lear. I only had them for 60 days or so. When I went to LEDs I took the spacers out. I Would try and make your own. 1" and 3/4" spacers work well.
