Had to take my C5 to an out-of-town dealer this past summer (break-down on a trip! ) and the mechanic used the brutal lug wrench on my chrome lug nuts, messing them up bad.
I'll get new ones this spring, but I'd like to find those fiberglas or teflon sockets to use on them here at home.
Where can I get them?
(You'd think a dealer would know to be more careful, right? )

I believe you're right, Sears has them.
On another note, and not trying to hi-jack this thread, but what is this "black chrome" lug nuts I hear about? Would they look good on black motorsport wheels as opposed to just black lugnuts?
Looks like they do them specifically for Porches, but I'm sure they can be found elsewhere.....and of course I'm assuming there will be a "Porche" socket that will be the correct size too. I also found a link to an E-Bay site selling sets too.
Check with HOUSE OF WHEELS (site supporting vendor), SUMMIT RACING, JEG'S, DISCOUNT TIRE, DISCOUNT TIRE DIRECT, TIRE RACK, etc
"Black Chrome" lug nuts are available from GORILLA, another product available from DISCOUNT TIRE or SUMMIT RACING.

Thanks...
That's quite a list, so I'll check them out.

Yep, part number 112-058, 19mm 1/2" drive, looks like $33.
Would be nice to get a part number from Harbor Freight, I'm sure they would beat that price above?
On another note from another poster, no Coscos here, but I'll check SAMS for the black chrome.

The same with lug nuts as well as sockets, you get what you pay for. Cheap isn't always better.
Gorilla has with and without lifetime warranty. All McGards have a lifetime warranty.
I've got the GM lugs with the stainless steel caps. they look like chrome yet you just take the caps off before putting the socket to the lug, no damage done. You might consider these before you buy chrome ones again. just my .02.
