There is an 03 z06 that I am looking to buy right now, it seems like a really good deal with the year, mods, and price etc. The only thing that worrys me is that the vehicle history report had said that the car had frame damage yet no accident history of any kind and a clear title, I asked the seller about it and he told me that this was because the car was lowered/had moddified suspension. Is there any truth to this? The only thing else that I can see wrong with the car are a couple of scuffs on the front bumper which are no big deal to have it repainted and of course I would go to personally inspect the car and make sure GM has a look at it as well (comp. leak down test etc.). Any valuable input would be appreciated. Thanks, Nathan
Wouldn't you at least vac/clean the car?
I don't know enough about the mods to comment, but a frame damage report certainly raises red flags.
Remember, there are a ton of vettes out there.
Good luck to you.
My vote is for "pass" dual stage No2, how in the world would the dmv or bmv what ever you call it down there know the car was lowered? If you have inspections down there you would think the title may say "modified" or something rather than "damaged" Plus, I dont believe the smaller body shops report repairs that end up on car fax.
You don't want a car with frame damage. As others have stated that car has probably been run pretty hard. Also, I don't like cars that have run nitrous.
Wow thanks alot for all the responses, yea turns out the car had the rear left quarter panel re painted and the rear bumper.. Sucks, I thought it was a pretty sweet car otherwise..
