Well since getting into an accident, brakes locked up and sent me into a guardrail, ive decided to keep my car and put a cam in. Ive also decided that im going to have it painted Speedway White. So i wanted to hear some cams. I have not decided but the G5x3,(4), and MS4 are the ones im primarily intersted in hearing. But if you have a different set up feel free to post a vid and specs on cam. I may be swayed to buy something different. This will only be a street car and will no longer be driven daily just a weekend cruiser. My plans are just to have a nice quick street car that wil occasionally see the strip, thats if they ever open another one up soon.
Thanks
Jake
This might help you.I love the sound of the cars in these videos. It's not mine but it has me thinking of the same cams you're thinking about installing.
That sounds awesome!
What other mods do you have on the motor? Did you change heads? Did you have to fly cut the pistons?I'm really thinking about this cam + heads for my car.

Well mods on the motor are the MS4 cam, prc dual springs kit, chrome moly pushrods, Stock heads-Z06/243 casting, Ported Fast 90 intake and LS2 TB, kook's 1 7/8" Headers, 3"x3" x-pipe with no convertors and stock factory ti catback.
Didn't have to flycut the pistons. Either get your stock heads ported and polished or buy a set of ported and polish LS6 heads.

Thanks for the reply. That's exactly the info I was looking for.Do you have any performance numbers yet?I hope I didn't hijack this thread....

So far I haven't had a chance to get it tuned, been at the body shop for the last 6 months I will have numbers for you guys around the end of March though, believe me it is just killing me. Seen numbers with just the cam and bolt ons from 440 rwhp all the way to 478rwhp with a fast setup. With the heads ported and polished I was told I would see 30rwhp more.
You can't go wrong with the G5X3 it has gotten consistent numbers, but both are nice cams.
I have the G5X3 112LSA with some home P&P 243 heads with TSP dual springs, LG Pros, pulley, and P&P stock TB and put down 450rwhp and 411rwtq
But i did have to flycut in order to be safe with the .04 cometic, but if your using the stock size i think you should be fine.
