Could you email a copy to me too?

If anyone can sell one of these pm me.

You can PM forum member mike76002, I believe he got a letter from GM telling him to stop selling the C5 Jake and anything that has to do with the Jake logo.
Ok I did some poking around....I see a definite grey zone here!

Bad Boy owns the rights to the C6R logo...they were at the 24 hrs of Lemans and designed the logo after seeing the "pirates" "take no prisoners" logo and slogan inside the corvette racing garage. They then drew up on a napkin the rough ideas and presented it to corvette racing. A deal was then struck for the C6R logo and the skull "jake" was born. Both BadBoyVettes and GM have ownership of it. NOW....comes the C5 version of the Jake.

It is unclear and unmentioned as to where this logo originated from. It is close enough in design that GM can say "please cease and stop production" BUT if someone did indeed fight GM on it, I can tell you this. You would win. The logo is different enought that the 2 are noticeably different and therefore GM has no rights over it. GM simply is pushing their weight around cause they own the C6 version and don't want people taking away from that.

So there it is....definitely GREY ZONE and quite honestly if anyone was making this for personal use, GM has NO SAY AT ALL OVER IT. The copyrights clearly indicate you would have to be making a profit on a product for you to violate copyright infringements. This is why a charity can produce them and not face penalties as long as they notify the original owner first.

The picture of the skull is posted here. For all that want a decal, do like I did. Print off the picture take it to a vinyl shop and have one made.

well this is what they say.....trust me I have seen this "Jake" on more then a few things "illegally" and they were not simple little vinyl decals! We are talking anything and everything from functional "go fast" goodies to being printed on "non-licensed" T-shirts! The other day in fact I was at a flea market when I spotted one! It wasn't a "punisher" type either. It was one of the real C6 versions! To be honest if Bad Boy Vettes (who really has rights to the logo) don't come after you first (which I haven't seen or read one person say they have) then I really can't see GM doing it.
