Mufflers or Not?
I'm not able to yet, but I am leaning towards buying the Borla 2-tip exhaust. There are two versions, one has the mufflers, and the other is an axle-back system without mufflers. Here are my questions.
1. How much of a sound difference is there between mufflers and without?
2. Are systems without mufflers for offroad only?
3. Do I need to worry about backpressure after the cats?

I bought my '04 A4 coupe in November, and immediately took the mufflers off. It's loud, but not loud enough to get noticed by law enforcement unless I'm heavy into the throttle. But mine is not a daily driver, only a toy, so I probably would have some sort of muffler if I used it more.
