Mn6 Vs A4

i HAVE A 2002 Zo6 how can I tell if it's a mn6 or A4 and what is the difference.

You have the MN6 - that is the 6-speed tranny. The A4 is the four speed automatic.

ZO6's only came in a six speed.

All hard tops (FRC's and ZO6's) came from the factory with 6-spds. If you see an A4 in one, the MN6 was swapped out.

See, I knew CF has a lot of gentlemen onboard.

Also, if you have two pedals beside the gas pedal you have an M6, if you only have one you have an A4. Now someone probably has changed that but it's normal.

And welcome to the CF.

Takes awhile but you will learn the lingo....but i hate it when some of them talk in tongues

Z06s come with a MN12, it is a manual 6 speed transmission with different ratios than the MN6 used in Coupes and Convertibles.

A4s are automatic transmissions available in Coupes and Convertibles. They come with an optional feminine hygene pad dispenser attached to the gear selector lever (just kidding!).

Now-a-days people abbreviate everything. I'm sure you know now from all the posts but it's just the manual or automatic transmissions they are referring to.
