Default Rotor Help

Need to replace front pads and feel the rotors won't have enough meat for another turn. Can anyone point me towards a nice replacement rotor, maybe drilled and slotted?

How much do you want to spend? The Baer Eradispeeds are good and are cost about $700. Less expensive are the Sportbrakes and GM slotted rotors.

I can't recommend any particular rotors, but I will give you my opinion. If you are just using the car on the street and don't do any track (autocross) driving I would not recommend the slotted rotors. Go with just the drilled rotors. I only drive my car on the street, and I replaced my stock rotors with drilled and slotted rotors and even with ceramic pads there is conciderable brake dust. The slots act like a cheese grater, causing more dust and also wearing out the pads faster.

I got a set of 4 Drilled & Slotted Zinc Washed on the bay for under $200shipped.
I have had them on a year with stock C5 pads and there is almost no dust
They always look great and stop great.
Just for the street, but hey, that is the only place I drive.

Please, no flames

Check out rockauto.com for cheap OEM style replacements. I just replaced my fronts with Raybestos brand rotors, part # 56700 & 56701. $60 shipped for the pair.

I probably should clarify what I meant when I said considerably more brake dust. With the stock brake setup I never noticed any brake dust. With the setup I have now the brake dust after a couple of days of city driving is very noticeable and needs to be cleaned, and you will get less mileage out of your brake pads. If you go with the drilled only, you've still got the "bling" and the cheese grater effect isn't as bad.
